Don't be jealous

Ok, well I am a sucker for a good garden tomato. However, I have two 100 lb. dogs that are in the backyard on occasion. That poses as a gardening problem. I found my match made in heaven. I am now the proud owner of a Topsy Turvy Tomato plant. I know, you're jealous. I loaded that sucker up with a "Big Boy" tomato variety, hung and voilla...a beautiful, organic, classy, tasteful not at all white trash garden at my fingertips. I'll keep you posted on the process....

Girls Just Wanna Have FUN!

A few weeks ago, some of my friends joined me at my parent's lakehouse for a retreat. The entire weekend was an '80s theme. Everyone arrived wearing their '80s best. I came away with the best hair award. We had a blast! After some pics in our totally rad threads, we soaked up some sun, cooked some great food and topped the night off with a little game of "Name that Tune" (all songs from the '80s of course) and '80s charades. This turned into a good ol' fashioned dance-a-thon and Soul Train line. We have decided that next year will be a 2 night retreat!!! Here are a few more pictures below...

You know you have a little boy when you have to sneak into his room after he has gone to bed and retrieve a full tractor set, 3 hammers and a wrench so that he has room to sleep.

PS...
We had our first trip to the ER yesterday....a dislocated elbow. For those of you that know me, my long list of injuries and freakishly double jointed arms, this should come as no surprise. He's fine, they put it back in place and sent us on our way. Apparently it happens really easily when they are this age and it tends to reoccur once it has happened. great. He was a total trooper and was treated to his favorite "i-cwane" (aka strawberry shake) on the way home for being so brave.

Ok people, I know it has been ridiculously long since I last posted. I still heart the blog but have been VERY busy with a new little business I have started with my mom :).
