The Cayman Islands

It has been about a month since we went to the Caymans and it seems like 6 months. We had a fantastic time. It was the first time for us to be away from our Sammy. I actually surprised myself as well as Matt at how well I handled it. I knew he was in good hands. He spent the week being spoiled by Grandparents. It also helped that we traveled with some good friends of ours, the House's. They have a 5 year old and 1 year old (about a week apart from Sam). They helped me to keep my mind off of my little guy.
We spent most of the week lounging by the pool and beach. We were able to snorkel off the shore of our hotel which was really fun! Our hotel was nice and friendly. I quickly learned that I really enjoy being waited on hand and foot by the pool and/or beach. We didn't have to set up our chairs or umbrellas etc. Service was top notch!

When we weren't laying by the pool, we were jetting around town in a little car. Actually, the word little doesn't begin to describe her. We named her Sweetness. Her steering wheel was on the right side of the car since everyone drove on the right (wrong) side of the road. We went to Stingray City and swam with sting rays which was really cool. One day, we went shopping in Georgetown. I bought 4 baskets made by a local woman.
Overall, we had a very relaxing trip. On the last night, Matt found one of Sam's little Goldfish crackers in his pocket then as I was packing the next morning, Clifford came on TV. It was officially time to come home to our baby!

I'm so excited you are doing this too! It's a great way to keep up. I love these pics! You are so brave to swim with the stingray. I was terrified of them. That is cute about Sammy's goldfish and Clifford!
Your pics make me want to be back at the beach!
