No Appreciation

Simply put, I get no appreciation for the beautiful pipe organ of a voice the good Lord has given me. I have been known to stand on a few tables, benches, and PA systems solely to sing the theme song to Flipper. What can I say but...I bring down the house. Each night, I sing Amazing Grace to Sammy as we rock in his room at bedtime. I try really hard to make it sound like the soulful greats like Aretha Franklin. With each note, I concentrate, with efforts to make my voice jiggle or whatever you call it. I even use my own creative license and change it up a bit all the while knowing that Matt is probably on the other end, turning down the monitor. Well, today as I was changing Sam's diaper, I was singing him a song about 6 little ducks. He interrupted me and said, "Mama No...No Sing....No Ah Ah (duck quack sound which is how he says duck)". Like I said, No appreciation.

I have witnessed the flipper singing talent outside Abuelo's (was it Abuelo's)! :) Great post!

I guess it's because I'm your mom but I didn't realize your singing was bad! You could always sing, I'm a little teapot, better than anyone!
